Hello,
So the guys asked me to do a wee post explaining my situation as people had begun to assume I was no longer in the band. Appear Invisible are based in Edinburgh, Scotland, however I am now at university in Cardiff, Wales meaning I am often not there when the band meet people and they have played a few shows without me too. In saying this, I am still very much a member of Appear Invisible, the guys practice back home and I practice here. We Skype, write songs via various online communications and I practice with them when I am up. It is obviously quite hard making a band work long distance but this is only temporary whilst I am at uni, we have every intention of properly taking this band further when all this is over but for now we are mainly working on writing songs and becoming better musicians. Soon we will be recording a new single to be released in Summer so stay tuned, we haven't disappeared off the face of the earth! Mel x

We are back! We never really left but we have been very busy with educational and general life commitments and therefore have not been gigging as much as we would like.
In in the past few months we have done a photoshoot with the wonderful Nerida Rose Bradley and been writing lots of new music! We have also given this website a new look! The new photos and music will be with you soon along with an online store launching in winter to buy physical copies of our EPs and some merchandise! Thank you for your support, Appear Invisible So the original Appear Invisible is back and we couldn't be happier! We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and supported not only us but 2 great charities, The Teapot Trust and Down Syndrome Scotland.
Hi Guys! Sorry we have been away for a while folks! But woah there, don't worry, we have just been busy! And here we are, back and ready to share our adventures with you! We have been very fortunate in the past year to have had the opportunity to collaborate with some wonderful people in an exciting project called "The Free Instruments for Teenagers Project". This is a one-off project in both art and music started by international artist, Ross Sinclair. In collaboration with The Collective Art Gallery here in Edinburgh, Ross held an exhibition, and as part of this exhibition there were a set of instruments. Bands were given the opportunity to enter into the project and the five winning bands received a set of the instruments; we were one of the lucky bands! As the project has gone on, two of the bands have broken up and we are now left with three. We have been working with the Collective Gallery and with Ross Sinclair on artwork and music throughout the past few months, which leads us on to the exiting bit! COLOURED VINYL & A GIG IN AN ART GALLERY! Each band, along with Ross Sinclair, has put together a mini artwork and recorded a few tracks for a 12" coloured LP, which will be released at a gig held at the Collective Gallery itself. This has been an amazing opportunity for us and the most exciting stuff is yet to come! We have recorded three tracks for the record; MACHINE, Forgetting Frank and Keeley Hawes. We got our mixes recently and can't wait to share the finished thing with you all! Here is also a sneak peak at our art which will feature on the inside of the gatefold! We will keep you up to date with release dates etc. and we hope you will come along to the gig! The gig is currently pencilled in for October 31st, however this could change, so stay tuned!
Dust those record players 'cause the grooves are being pressed as we speak! Appear Invisible x Hi there! We have some unfortunate news so please take the time to read this.
We are sad to report that not one, but two of our band members are leaving. However, do not fear, APPEAR INVISIBLE LIVE ON! Iain (our drummer), and Glen (our bassist) have left the band amicably, but Mel and Sammy are still keeping the band alive and are auditioning new members NOW! If you are interested, drop us a message. We wish Iain and Glen all the best in their future endeavors and as for us, the future awaits! Glen's Message Hi guys Glen here I just wanted to say that I am deeply saddened that my departure from the band has happened. Fortunately the band still has two amazing musicians despite Iain and myself leaving the band. I will miss the band alot, for a long time the band is what ive put my whole focus in and now its my future that is keeping my focus I know the band will be alright without us it is in much more than capable hands with sammy and mel. I want to wish them one last good luck and I will support them all the way good luck guys and goodbye. Glenda Iain's Message Hey guys, after a lot of thought I really regret saying I have to leave the band, as Glen has already said he is leaving too but there are still two brilliant musicians and two brilliant people here to listen to! I know I'm going to keep listening to all the music! Good luck for the future guys. Thank you to Eve Macnamara for this lovely drawing relating to dreamer.
Stay tuned for some exciting news. Hello
Last night we played at the big music champions wacky winter show. We had a great time. We played a lively set and ended as we usually do with Keeley Hawes! Not only are we part of Appear Invisible but the majority of us are big music champions as well. It was really great to see new young musicians get up on stage and have the confidence to play to a big audience. As a big music champion I would like to say well done to all the performers. And I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that was involved in making last night happen. Appear Invisible would like to thank CY and Totally Sound for all the help they have given us. We are so incredibly grateful for all the opportunities they create for us. Here is a photo of last night. Vote for Old school Cafe!
